bothroyd has started to play now but its all too late DJ plays people out of position to accommodate his favourite son I do still think we have better players than hull only my opinion but I think its a lot to do where the manager plays them I mean a 4-5-1 at home and the way they are told to play. But the way things are I can't see where the points are coming from either.
The thing is Madine can't really play, but he scores goals. I know which of the 2 I'd bank on. But, hey I'm just a supporter.
DJ has some sleepless nights ahead because selection is so hard now, a good thing?
It really isnt so difficult. we are becoming a laughing stock due to our new team.
just go back to basics, hence the team that promoted us. at least they cared and fought for each other.
if i was in the dressing room with bothroyd, barkley and taylor, id be kicking up a serious fuss, cos they are complete muppets.
Couldn't agree more. Swamping the dressing room with strangers cannot produce cohesion (same problem at QPR),especially if those strangers are both poor and preferred to the old loyal players !

If MM does the right thing and removes DJ., what then ? Whoever comes in will have to try until January to cobble a team together from what has been left behind. Not an enviable position !Who is going to take the likes of Pecnik and Taylor off our hands ? Get fit Linesy, we need some bottle back in midfield together with the thrust injected by the Johnsons and we may have a fighting chance.
Agree totally apart from Pecnic, I believe he is the one signing DJ has made that can go on and serve us well. We not seen best of him cos he hasn't had a place in side to call his own. Been moved around to try and solve problems not of his making. Looked good in his int'ls.

Dave Jones to be sacked this week.Milan will use the 2 weeks break to find a replacement.
If MM were big enough he should bring Megson back and let him finish the job he started, but not a chance of that!
McCarthy been mentioned on here, he's an Owl and proved he can do a job in this division.
I remember reading Megson quoting that he would like to come back and finish what he started, right after being sacked...

Dave jones out! to lose 6 games out of 7 is unforgivable, to keep playing taylor and bothroyd is unforgivable id sooner see ashley westwood back in defence before taylor and big jon shaw back up top before bothroyd, he should be sent back to qpr tomorrow! abysmal!
Jones came here with a big reputation , Charlton & Huddsfld who came up with us are coping far better with demands of Championship.
We have not won a lge game since he lost his longterm right-hand man to Arsenal, I think DJ's reputation went to Arsenal with him ! DJ is now clueless !
Said before the problem is midfield when you are letting goals in and cant score,the midfield should give protection to the defence and should provide creativity for the forwards,we need a ball winner,a creative midfielder who has vision and good passer.and a box to box player who can tackle and get back up to supply the forwards.and last but not least a winger who can play on either wing.
Jones has brought in 4-5 players for midfield, and 4-5 defenders ?
I'd rather wait and let a new manager bring his own players in than dump more of DJs failed signings on him when he takes over - just a matter of time now !

I completely agree with the midfield post. Everyone keeps raving about McCabe but all I see is an average young midfielder who gets dominated by opposition, doesn't offer protection to back 4 and who gets the ball off the centre back when he is stood next to him and either gives it to the other centre back or plays a bad short ball that puts someone in trouble. Semedo doesn't look half as effective at this level. Barkley is a liability when we haven't got the ball - he doesn't track and is lightweight in the tackle. If he is to play it has to be off the striker IMO as that is where he can be dangerous. We are up against quality, hardened midfields in this division and we just aren't cutting it. The defence is being exposed far too much and we just aren't supporting the forwards. We need an experienced all action midfielder in there.
I'd support Mick McCarthy, at least he'd bring some of the passion back thats been sadly missing since Megson was sacked.
Anyone read micks biograpthy when he was at man city he heard his boyhood club he supported were after him,The move never happened .the club was our beloved owls,read the book and used to cringe when wednesday fans gave him grief.
Never knew he was an Owl.
