On behalf of the "Wise Old Owls" who have worshipped Wednesday for half a century we don't represent disloyalty but what DJ is throwing away 2 years of pain and suffering and hard graft by Megson

"We are all in it together" DJ says so does that mean we will be splitting the redundancy money 25000 ways then? No I didn't think so, if we cocked up in our jobs and made a mess we would be sacked and sent packing.

Working for Sheffield Wednesday is simply a job for DJ he knows nothing of the pride and passion we have in "Our Wednesday" he does not feel the hurt we feel or see what we see and he certainly has no respect for the 25000 managers that pay his wages

Being old school, it's the sheer arrogance of this guy thats upset me as much, if not more, than his obvious incompetence !
And regardless of what his supporters say, there is plenty of evidence of incompetence . I have posted many examples on here.
I repeat my assertion that I believe him to be the worst manager ever to be at the helm of this great club, nobody has ever done so much damage in such a short time.
I certainly can't remember a manager at this , or any other club for that matter, showing open contempt for the fans like he did.
I had no inkling of what we were in for when he took over because of his reputation !
HOW he got that reputation heaven only knows?
Do the research Cardiff and Wolves were both very disappointed on the return for their investment and the fans of both clubs wanted him out because of his puzzling team selections and tactics - so the warnings were there if we had looked .
I must stop - - lets hope that we get the 3pts tomorrow because we desperately need them, but I hope and pray that MM can swallow his pride, admit he got it wrong, and send Mr Jones packing anyway - PLEASE !

just seen jones on look north.... seemed like a man who knows his time is up... lets hope so... cannot see that man inspiring the set of average at best players he has brought in..... give us half a chance dave and leave on sunday

I only been watching owls since mid 70s but can see where you come from,this jones boy really is not up to it i hope am wrong for sake of the owls but can see a defeat again,milan there is loyalty and plain pig headedness cant you see jones is nothing without burton.

Just watched Look North, as you say DJ looks a worried man.
I would say from the expression on his face MM has had serious words at last .
I reckon MM has demanded 6pts from next two games or its time !
And rightly so cos anything less than that from our rivals at the bottom and we are in the DEEP mire !

My point will be proven true about burton,jones will struggle after he has been sacked tonight.poor manager without a top coach its clear pw is not.

It was me who put the protest at games thread on here

I have been a Wednesday fan for 50 years mate so please do not call me a Blunt!

WE are the club, managers and players come and go,so do owners but we are the life blood of this club

Wednesday is "Ours" we make it what it is by paying to watch and give unswerving support week in week out

We at last were heading in the right direction under Megson we had players with passion who wanted to wear the shirt and put a shift in

DJ single handedly has destroyed all that and brought in average players, some admittedly with potential, and Mercenaries like Bothcrap, who knows whatever happens he will get his bag of gold and drive away laughing

Unless WE protest at games and let the world know exactly how we feel then nothing will change, I am not saying don't encourage the team, far from it but chants of "Jones Out" will let everyone know, it will be in the papers on TV and hopefully we will get a new manager with fresh ideas to get us out of this mess because pull no punches that's where we are

50 yrs also, i think we "oldies" have seen a few of these mistakes made in the past and don't want to see them made again? - The "Wise Owls" eh?
I mean what I said on other post , we have had some poor/unsuccessful managers down the years - BUT I honestly can't remember another manager getting it so wrong so quickly can you ?

At the moment DJ is sheltering behind our inactivity. That allows him to go on saying that we are "in it together", the implication being that it is a corporate responsibility and that we are, or should be, a united front lined up alongside our leader. He is the one who put us "in it". I agree that he is the worst manager of my lifetime. Could argue that we have has the odd one who was just plain incompetent, but none so disrespectful and arrogant in his failure.

Heheh, I'm sure the hair loss was due to the stress of putting up with the Owls over the years.

Can we ask if Arsenal will swap Dave Jones for Terry Burton

Arsenal didn't get where they are with being stupid !!
I suspect it'll be a long time before anybody takes Jones on again after being found out here, as usual its the Owls that pay the price again !

Agreed. nobody would ever go near dj again. however, the players we wanted to be dropped were injured today so we had the team that EVERYBODY was asking for. guess what..............
absolute shambles.
