Just found out about bein sports the other day and I am so jazzed for tomorrow's game it'll be the first game I've seen since I got to go to an actual game back in 06-07 sometime around then.

Still wildly optimistic at this point; however.

Just read article in the star about CC being relaxed and he mentions some of the foreign signings being second or third choice. In context he's saying he wanted to buy English players, but still, if I were one of those foreigner players it wouldn't leave me positive.

Your interpretation is a little flawed I think Des.
What I think he said is he's starting, "in the main" - in this the first game - "with the players who have Championship experience". That just sounds like common sense to me and I think most people.
Why blood all the "foreign signings" in the first match, that would be a stranger thing for him to do surely when there are 46 matches and 9months to go , and plenty of opportunities to come for everybody to play a part?

So, you think it's that they are second or third alternatives for this game rather than for the squad.

“When I first arrived, I said my aim is to bring in British players,” he said. “All the time I have tried to bring them in but it is not an easy market.

“Sometimes when we have followed some players, they are very expensive. We have alternatives and sometimes the foreign players are the second or third alternatives we have."

Still doesn't read that way to me. Ah well 18 hours and we'll have something concrete to discuss.

A bit selective Des, you are referring to a later part of the interview when he was being asked about the clubs recruitment. Earlier when asked about the team for Saturday, he said it would mainly be the players with Champs experience starting the first game. You are referring to a later part of the interview, which when taken in context I saw it as him trying to defend, not that he has to under the current setup, the clubs recruitment of foreign players. Either way I don't think it would demotivate anybody, surely it should have the opposite effect and make them want to prove they deserved a shirt?
