Mark Beevers agrees 3 and 1/2 year contract with Millwall ahead of his £250,000 move from Sheffield Wednesday.

what a joke dave jones. what are you doing?

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Hey hold on a bit milan owns the club so he has backed him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Blame them both then, suits me , they've both lost the plot anyway !

Agree6 Disagree1

Suppose they walked on water in the summer. Also everytime Beevers played all people did was moan and say he's not good enough. Just because he's had a couple of good games at millwall and now we've lost franco baresi. Just another excuse to have a pop at dj & mm that's all it is, fact.

Agree0 Disagree7

I never moaned did yoU? xx

Agree3 Disagree0

[Walked on water] - You were obviously one of those that DID moan at Beevers because like a few (inc our super manager DJ) you couldn't see the potential. Now Millwall have and got a bargain.
The really annoying thing is even if you didn't think Mark was going to become a world beater , hes definitely as good if not better than at least 2 of the 3 Center backs we've kept ,and hes 10yrs younger !
I REALLY worry that the true reason hes been sold is because DJ has been told he has to sell if he wants the money to buy .......... Bothcrap !

Agree5 Disagree3

Really saw the ppotential in beevers he was amazing as a 17 year old ... but i must agree with the previous poster he did have a lot of critics and was constantly slated by alot of our fans so I rekon this is just been used as more fuel to fire for the dave jones out band wagon

To all those who say that DJ can't build a team, thats rubbish, just look what a cracking job hes done at Millwall, and Tranmere, and MK Dons !
They wouldnt all be near the top of there leagues without the players that DJ gifted them would they ?

I am beginning , if somewhat fearfully, to wonder if MM actually really does believe Jones' endless string of pathetic excuses and that our misfortunes are all down to each individual as he is singled out for blame. Certainly looks like that. Do you remember Jack Charlton expressing his amazement that businessmen who had shown great skill and judgment is amassing their fortunes suddenly lost all direction once they owned a football club ?

Believable12 Unbelievable1

I remember that very well, Jack was a "proper" manager.
Thats what makes me laugh when people try to defend DJ , hes got more wrong in a week than Jack got wrong in his career !
As for MM, I'm certain that "deep down" he knows he's made a BIG mistake, but as soon as he takes action he will be admitting it.
However , I think sooner or later he will have to bite the bullet because there is absolutely no way that Jones is going to pull this around.
He is one BIG reputation with no history of success to support it , mystery ? and his performance this season is among the worst I can remember by any manager at this club, and we've had some crackers !

DJ could do worse than come back and borrow a few of our fringe players like Ralls, Harris and especially Velinjonca. They might give you a boost and help you take points offf our promotion rivals.

For sure the championship is a very tough league.
Countless people talk about how tough it is.
It is like people are saying you support SWFC you
cannot to be anything other than bottom 3.
I am not particularly bothered about being 2nd bottom at this stage. It is losing 13 games out of
20 that worries me most. Teams in the past have had less losses but have been in the bottom three
in the first half of season, they have also been nearer to the pack of teams, whereas the bottom 4
are getting cut off a bit this season. Even if Wednesday play alright they very rarely get anything from games. We might beat Bristol and Barnsley coming up. That will be no good if we lose
the next 6. What we need is a run of 5 games unbeaten right now including at least a couple of wins. We need 9 points from the Bristol game, 3 points is no good!!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Agreed, the worry is even if we win the next two, MM would believe we turned a corner and we haven't .
DJ doesn't even know his best team yet - after 20 games he's still making 3-4 changes every match, hardly a recipe for consistency which is what's desperately needed.
In all my years watching football I have never known a manager, of any team, flounder about with team selection and setup as much as Jones. He really has no idea and that's the worry going forward - even if we do somehow manage to win next two - it won't last .

Agree7 Disagree0

Will he drop Taylor for next game?
I am not a Taylor fan but he did OK last game. Will Prutts be dropped? I am not a massive fan of prutton either but to say he as been away a while I think he was steady enough and deserves another game. Bywater should have been in once the wheels came off, I am not saying he is necessarily a better keeper than Kirkland but he is a proper man and that is what you need in this situation.

Agree4 Disagree0

Just a correction to my prev post
I know Bywater did have a spell with pneumonia but he should have come in to the team before he was ill.
Obviously he would have had to have slipped out of the team again for a few weeks but nonetheless he is OK now!

Sometimes moving backwards to go forwards is needed but Im having difficulty understanding how we are not scoring Huddersfield and charlton have consolidated this season and we have struggled, the players have the ability but they are frightened to make a mistake and then worrying about a mistake costing a goal and then it happens and can't find the reaction as dj can't motivate a response. A new coach old school is needed to toughen them up as we will be relegated because we will not win half of the remaining games to stay up really disappointed with season ddnt think we were relegation material {Ed003's Note - The championship is a really difficult league,maybe you had higher expectations,but there is still a long way to go,chin up}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Simples - Tactics !
It would appear that despite his reputation DJ is tactically very nieve.
He has a favoured way of playing which has brought him some success in the past and usually sets the team up to play that way.
If its not working , or we pick up an injury during a game , he just changes personnel without changing the play to suit the players or to pose the opposition a different sort of problem.
