if we play like we did in first half yesterday against forest its going to be along hard finish to the end of season. defo need an experienced midfielder in the side that shows a bit of leadership and get the ball into the strikers. bkowl

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Agreed, but I think we will survive.
I think there'll be a lot of wheeling and dealing again in the summer.
We need players who are play off standard and above, and in my opinion, apart from the promising 19-22 year olds, we have only 3 players who fit the bill ie. Kirkland, Gardner and Antonio. Maybe Reda and Buxton could be added to that list?
Anyway, priority targets IMO should be at least one midfield player, a right sided centre back and a striker.

I'm not into the stupid extreme language that's used on here all the time, but at this level a cb is a cb, right or left footed.

God knows we need a ball player in midfield though. Doesn't have to be killer pass, just someone calm enough to make the pass stick.

Read my post on banter page dated 25 2 13 re midfield. Prutton and coke offer nothin creative wise. They don't want the ball hence the back 4 have to hoof long. Get semedo and mcabe back in. lita is a goalscorer not a target man. Our strikers feed off scraps even if we get the ball wide and get crosses in the final baLl is poor. Wickham had no service jones should have realised we were being overun in midfield and dropped wickham into the hole to stop that happening.

DJs obsession with bringing young Prem loans in is costing us! He's now changed the whole shape of the team to fit Wickham in, just like he did with Barkley and JB, and it's bringing us nothing.
Did anybody else notice that Gray never even got out of his seat yestday as if to say I'm having nothing to do with this it's all your doing!

Agree4 Disagree2

^ Yeah course gray sat down for that reason I think it was grays fault for not coaching our defence properly to stop there goal

Agree2 Disagree3

Don't blame Gray- before he came and told Jones what to do we were leaking goals aplenty. He stopped that. When are DJ's supporters going to realise that it is the manager himself who lacks imagination and creativity? Midfield as an attacking or creative force is non-existent -who brought them back from low-level loans to provide our thoughtful play? It isn't that we have lost a game or two - it is the way we play: it will have us hanging on by our fingernails until the end of the season when we really must get a proper manager. Don't let loyalty hide the truth away. The best that Jones can offer is a team that will battle in spite of its limitations.

Agree4 Disagree2

The person who is writing this anti Jones stuff knows little to nothing about football or tactics.
Forest played well and were as good as team I have seen this year in this division. Yes we struggled but we adapted and coped in second half.
For the record we changed style to stop conceeding goals we need to change to score goals so we can win matches. Semedo has fallen short this season and Coke and Prutton have done well until yesterday and short comings were exposed in first half.

Negative Expert is back.

Agree2 Disagree8

The chap who calls anybody who talks sense - a negative expert - is back?
Its just a different opinion to yours mate - get over yourself. it just happens to make more sense than yours! (LOL!)

Agree4 Disagree2

One goal in three says it all. Bringin wickham in has upset the balance again just like barclay did.

Agree4 Disagree2

Yip, its the negative experts again, who think its only one person using the quote. LOL

When we win no complaints on this site lose one its jones out rubbish football all I can say support your club win or lose if not go to lane we don't need you at s6 true owls fan

Believable7 Unbelievable2

So a true Owls fan keeps his eyes and mouth shut then?
Sorry can't see that happening, we found something that was working and bringing points so why mess it up to give a Sunderland lad a few games before he goes back home?
The Owls manager is supposed to do what's best for the Owls fans not the Mackems!

Agree5 Disagree2

Totally agree mate Dave Jones is an arrogant ar** who is hell bent on self preservation

Connor Whickham could not do the business at Sunderland and he won't do it here at Wednesday

Jones has cocked up again and Wickham has to be accommodated and it's ruined the team dynamics

He will be stubborn like he was with Bothcrap, and Wednesday will stutter again

Agree4 Disagree4

The sound of blunts or the animals from bell end road "vile animals" that's why dj who obvoisly can pull the birds. Just shows he has some sort of charisma. Unlike warnock who couldn't pull in a brothole as he has the face of a thousand slapped arses.

Agree4 Disagree1

What a pathetic post. Jones is a reasonable / aimiable man and yes he makes mistakes but also does good things. Not all signings come off. We played a team whose formation we could not cope with and they had some very good players in team who cost them a lot of money.
Central Midfield area was the problem our lads were over run and they both had off day. First game in many they had a bad day and so we start ranting and raving. Stop making yourself look silly and put things in perspective.

Agree2 Disagree3

Would the walters who posted some of this rubbiish like to come on here and say something after Leicester resuly.
