Doesn't matter who the next Wednesday manager is, the damage is already done. We will go down this season and the only people to blame are Dave Jones for his terrible management, Milan Mandric for not acting soon enough by getting rid of Dave Jones 10 games in and all the so called Wednesday fans who kept posting messages of support for him on here. Who ever comes in can't wave a magic wand and suddenly turn Jones's crap signings in to good players. The new manager will have to make do with a team of below average at best players so it's all to little to late. It will take the new manager a minimum of twelve months to build a new team capable of turning out decent performances but if Milan tells him that he must sell first then the new manager is going to come to a dead end because who would pay money for our players? It's all looking very bleak indeed so Dave Jones, Milan Mandric and all you Dave Jones supporters give yourselves a big pat on the back. You've succeeded in relegating us.

Some of DJ's signings were actually ok and the team as a whole is not the worst in the division they just need a manager who can give them some confidence but also can pick a decent formation with players in there best positions. There is still over half the season left and we are only 6 points from safety so could doom merchants like you shut up. If there were only 5-6 games left and we were in this position then I would be more worried but for now please quit with the doom and gloom and have a little confidence in the team. That is something else we need, the fans to have confidence in the players we have and get behind them, a good twelth man can push players on to do great things

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you blame the fans? We support the team not the manager. Even if they supported Jones they don't have any input towards his tactics and his failings. They don't make the team play crap just because they like jones or any other manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Only three points from safety but I guess you were looking at a table from before the game. I agree that we have too many fans who are glass half empty or even completely empty with some. Three points from safety and a game in hand over a lot of the clubs above us and 29 games still to play is hardly a terrible position to be in, in fact a decent run over the Christmas period could push us into mid table the league is that close. what about owen coyle? uto xxx

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I was one of Dave Jones biggest critics but he's gone now he's history and should be forgotten
We now have chance to regroup dust our selves down and get stuck in
We have just beat the top of the league who are a good side on top of their game but we have beaten them
Get your head up mate we will not get relegated because we do have the players to get us out of this mess we just need them and the new manager to stick with them not chop and change every week
We are on the up confidence will come so onwards and upwards

I may be naive but aren't all of these the names of people that nobody else wants as their manager? Aren't we better finding someone that is currently employed, with some experience and doing a great job where they are. but SWFC would be a step up for them and a challenge?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You are naive as potential managers not in current employment doesn't mean that you'd be getting a person who's never had success!
Look at most of the successful managers and virtually all have experienced failure at one time or another.
Look at Chelsea, hull, Newcastle, Norwich, Tottenham, west ham, crystal palace, Sunderland, Fulham (just gone) etc, etc all these clubs have managers in place who have at least once expeirianced failure and a few are doing pretty well with their clubs?
Sometimes managers fit certain clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really? I haven't heard one name mentioned that fits with that premise. The names I've heard have not been snapped up by any club when their managers are sacked. they are all crap. let's find a good quality manager and then back him. oh wait, we're skint too.

With a takeover in the offing I think that if Gray and Bullen do well they will be offered a caretaker role until the takeover is complete. The other option as I see it is if a takeover is close to completion then the people taking over will put the money in to get the manager they want.

There is no takeover in the offing end of.

We got to be realistic here, whoever Mandaric speaks to he's going to tell them they have to work with what we've got & that there's no money available as he's looking to sell which is common knowledge! Not many big names managers are going to go for that are they?! Expect Steve Evans or someone from that league to come in
