Good evening. I have taken the unprecedented steps of addressing the loyal supporters of Sheffield Wednesday via the rumours website. This summer has been one of frustration. We have held discussions with a number of players from both League 1 and the Championship, but we have experienced many hurdles. The chaiman and I have gone back to the drawing board, and for the time bieng, we will not be signing any further players. We will continue to monitor the player situation, and if needs be, we will enter the loans market. Hopefully, come the next transfer window in January, we will be in a position to sign some of the players that we have already earmarked. Please give the players that we do have all the support that I know that you all can give. Milan will be making an announcement early next week to reiterate my statement. I can appreciateyour frustrations, however I am confident that we can enjoy a successful season. Many thanks to you all. Gary M

Key word business this use to be a sport if you think mm is here for the love of the club ur a fool he is here to make a quick buck he goes on radio saying we r chasing this player and that one for one reason to increase season ticket sales talk about dangling the carrot in front of the donkey dose not matter what's happening off the pitch if your key product is failing Ie team after all I thought we was a FOOTBALL club look through our team their are players their that just don't cut it Doncaster got a bargain in spur which will come back to haunt us miller should have been kept on the times I've seen him play on the wing he as done a good job plus unlike many in our team he no s ware the net is end of day their is only one thing that will make this club punch it's weight and that's what happens on the pitch or we don't have a business

Don't kid yourself about dangling carrots with the likes of mellor and Koumas and Jason Scotland - none of those 3 made me buy a season ticket - my love for the club did. I don't care who plays as long as they give 100%. MM has had to get the business side sorted so we a financially solvent again - it's GMs job to get the team right and let's be honest Mellor isn't worth breaking the wage cap/budget for.

I agree. I buy my season ticket for the love of Wednesday. I also travel 160miles (each way) to see home games. As long as Wednesday field 11 men who are as passionate about the club as we true fans are, then i'd be happy.
