Don't really want to get disheartened already but the frustration is creeping in. We've offered new contracts and identified the positions we need to strengthen (20 gl season striker) only thing we've heard is we are waiting players on holiday etc. Cardiff in my opinion have signed x2 20 gl a season strikers for the 1st time in over a decade let's get the players in and settled prior to pre season and get them gelling.

SG is trying hard to do just that, but we are not yet widely regarded as competitive in the market. Others have more money at their disposal and their odds are not quite so short in the table of bookies' relegation odds. Think we need just one good signing to shorten those odds and set the ball rolling but I understand your feelings.

Cardiff have infinitely bigger resources than us and can make sure that the player doesn't want to look around.
We are playing within our means; yes I think all these deals should be done as early as possible, but we may be doing things as fast as we can.
Probably worth waiting and seeing what we end up with before we go all doom and gloom.

Folks, and ed's.
Is a second club something to be ashamed of.
I 'follow', look for the results after Wednesday of a certain club regularly. It's a club that being a Wednesday fan I suppose I shouldn't like but they play (ed) the best football I've seen in premiership.
So, while I'm blue and white through and through can you have a 'second club'?

I think so as long as you supported the owls if the 2 teams met each other.

Sure you can, I've always had a soft spot for forest since cloughy etc. But I'm wednesday through and through

Yeah obv, when the two have met I've been sat in the kop hoping their keeper is struck down by a temporary blindness.
Also strange that I have disliked certain clubs since a kid: always hated villa among others!

Definitely can have a second team. I watch out for the results of a team who play in red and white stripes as my wife is from the region and want them to do well but I would whole heartedly support Sheff Weds when they play against each other. The team is Sunderland before anyone gets confused and thinks I may have a soft spot for the piggies :)

Iv always had a soft spot for Rangers and always follow their scores, but I can't honestly say I support them.
So I guess they are my second team.

Lloyd Dyer released by Leicester.
Another winger I know, but we have lacked a good crosser of the ball for several seasons now.
Worth a punt?

IDE be more than happy for the owls to take a punt on dyer gud crosser of the ball and can be a real tricky customer that runs at the defence and will also add to the strength of the team and competition for places which is exactly wot we need
