Nuihu is big slow daft donkey that can't jump or out pace a dwarf. He can't win a header cause he's scared of his shadow. Maguire is a good footballer with a good footballing brain. He makes runs links up changes play, got a good pass and shot. All he's need was constant run of games now were c ing him fans are realizing now. Well done Stuart gray.

We all said that about Grant Holt when he was at Hillsboro.
Give the lad a chance to develop. He's got a big heart and will chase down anything. He is getting better at bringing the ball down on his chest and holding it up. Wish he could really jump though!
Worth holding on to for another year and see how he gets on.
Don't want to let him go and regret it as we have with Holty.

Ooooo, that old Grant Holt chestnut.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think it's fair to call Grant Holt 'an old chestnut'! - HNY to all!

Excellent point about Bullen he is really good at motivation and this is required.
Wilkinson always had a motivator working with him as he was serious bloke and realisd that was an area he needed help. Wenger usually has some one who is motivator working with him and elieved Fergusson did same. When DJ lost Burton he did not have this available to him and we struggled. Gray clearly is a good coach and his previous attempts at management have been disastrous be interesting to know which type of person if any he woked with in those jobs.

Do not underestimate bullens influence in our upturn in fortune.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bullens main role is motivation & enthusiasm for the shirt, try to restore the pride in performance that's been totally lost under DJ.

Noticed in one of yesterdays papers that the final announcement on the manager will be made after the FA cup game. I think Gray has possibly done enough to at least get the job till the end of the season

Well done to the lads today. I think gray has done a great job so far why not give him a chance even on a month to month contract till the end of season to see what sort of job he's done. I can't see any body else doing any better with the side we have. Bkowl

I'm sure people on here watch different games to me, I'm there every week and know who's playing well and who's not. Nuihu was terrible today, Maguire did nothing on the wing ok he scored but was a tap in and did nothing else, reda is a liability, loovens immense, Connor different class, joh and maghoma need better final balls and not do too much, good win but long way to go.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If you think Maguire did nothing you must have been in the bar all the game. He linked up with everyone from the halfway line to the box, he had a very good game as did every one of them. Please give credit where it`s due?

You need to accept that you are not watching Prem football and that all sportsmen have strengths and weaknesses.
Yes none of our players are perfect and we could easily get better players in every position if we spent millions.
What you should be looking for is to see if each of the players are performing to the best of their own ability - and they are all a lot closer to that than they have been at any other point this season.
Every team can always improve, we certainly will I hope, but there are lots of positives if you look for them instead of the negatives.

Happy new year misery. Course its not perfect, but neither are the ones st the top. Its going to be a slow turnaround but its better than a few weeks ago

They all gave 100% and some of our play as of a decent standard. Nuhiu was a strong prescence and woked hard, tuch could have been better but battled and helped keep back 4 occupied.

Agree0 Disagree0

So Maguire is the saviour then?! Get a grip!

Agree0 Disagree0

In reply to first post no people don't watch a different game to you - you appear to watch a different game to everybody else. We won, the whole team played well - we got 3 points and all you can do is criticise half the team - my mate Mr Meldrew says I don't believe it. Inclined to agree with him

Agree0 Disagree0

Have a go at Maguire all you want but 'a' he ain't had a chance and 'b' he's not a winger. He would be better used in the same smway Paul Williams was with hirsty. There are people on here who think that fir the last 7yrs believe that Jermaine Johnson is our saviour in waitin. "he's always likely to do something they say. Yeh right, about 5 times a season. The most hyped up flop I've seen in 55 yrs watchin the owls. So give Maguire a chance and a break ffs. Judge him after a decent run in his best position. mik

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's not carried away just yet. He has only scored one goal.
When he bags a few more I will sing his praise.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kirklands not even scored yet, what do you reckon to him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip man.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just making the point that you can't measure a players worth to the team simply on the number of goals they score.
Even the best out and out goalscorers need 10 men behind them all doing their jobs properly to get the best out of them, and a number of them won't have a shot at goal all season!
It doesn't mean they not doing an important job for the team, although some fans do only notice the goalscorers.

Agree0 Disagree0

1 win and we are world beaters, we are still terrible ok was better on sat but still need massive improvement. Maguire 1 goal and he's van persie get a grip!

Agree0 Disagree0

Think loovens has been a good influence.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeez, are you Maguires dad or something? Took the comment awfully personal.
Kirkland scoring goals, really isn't a valid point mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do hope Maguire keeps it up though, all the same.
