David Mooney just signed for Leyton Orient. Another one gets away - would've been ideal for Wednesday. A rumour? Megson will be sacked by Christmas - a scapegoat for being in mid-table.

How do you work that out when Megson is one of the best managers in this division - look at his record - and we're lucky to have him. Who else do you think will take the job if MM sacks his 2nd manager in 6months. Megson will make all you knockers eat your words - even though MM has NOT SPENT A PENNY on signings yet

I agree. Megson is of sound pedigree. He worked wonders at his previous clubs by getting them promoted.

I never knocked Gary Megson - what I'm saying is how can he succeed without the players at his disposal. Our squad is inadequate. Give him some leeway and he will succeed - but Mandaric isn't doing that is he? Two strikers at the club, neither prolific. No left winger. Sir Alex couldn't get us up with these players.

I hope not mellor is a spent force just wants the cash not bothed who it's with 7 of his goals last season was in the cup against lower league teams mostly Ie southport

He scored 1 goal against Southport, two more of his cup goals came against higher league opposition (Scunthorpe & Bristol C), the rest were against teams in the same division. Would have taken less than a minute to check that & you wouldn't have looked as daft.
