No strikers to be signed, when wickham goes back to sunderland leaves us with lavery and nuhiu as only recognised strikers, fantastic
What about Maguire who can't stop scoring has everyone forgot that's where he's ment to play uto
You are right about Maguire he's done well and scored a few, but I still think you would need another striker. I always think you need 4 strikers or even 5.
Wednesday over the last few years
seem to go with 3, then lose one long term and then at times are left with nothing up front in some games.
Reply to first post, how do you know, have you insider information, do you know Wickham's pet cat who may have told you. I do wish the people who comment on here, who back up their comments with something concrete. I think we will do something on the striker front as we have too, but I like some won't guess or make things up

I also agree that we will sign a striker although I don't know when, hope its sooner rather than later. See Billy Sharp was on the scoresheet again pity we couldn't sign him because that lad can score goals. It all really boils down to money and how much MM is prepared to spend, in my opinion its no good just signing a striker unless he's better than what we already have. Can we really afford to pay for a decent striker? not just someone who scores a few goal in the park. I would be interested in other peoples thoughts and comments about this. UTO eric the owl

Unfortunately we do have a couple of msguided Owls and the term you mention was used in response to being called a happy clapper which was equally disgusting.
I would suggest when negative comments are put on site you and others post put downs and out them as Weed and Trigger.
We are curently enjoying a reasonable period yet posts having a dig at MM and lack of signings are appearing.
I think we are speaking the same language to a point, but you slightly missed the point I was making I think?
Which is - all genuine fans are entitled to their opinion without being insulted.
For example - last year if I made what I thought was a positive comment like "sack DJ and we'll be better off", I would have been called one of those "n****ts - stupid words", loads were!
But 12months on I would have been proved right. We are better off without DJ.
So it was a positive comment, not a negative one?
So why use "that stupid word " at all? What does it mean?
Why can't all the genuine fans post their opinions, and debate them without trading "stupid insults"?
The comments from "outsiders" are so obviously posted to get a reaction - so why give them the satisfaction of a reaction at all, that's just what they want? So they'll just keep coming back and posting more rubbish!

I gave the explanation but was not hap who used term on this thread. Think I was first to refer to someone as negative expert and then it was shortened to negspert by someone else. What you overlook is if someone says same comment time after time with little logic or explanation and at same time trashes you for being optimistic/hopeful a response is deserved. Also knee jerk reactins are not what's required, a club gets a reputation if doing just that. No one can say Jones did not get a fair crck of whip and there was not one adverse press piece when he was dismissed. I have already said my faith in Jones was misplaced on a earlier post. It is clear from various fans forums some find it difficult to move on and forget what has happened.
