Strikers? Why have we got maguire if he ent gunna get a run out. Whenever ive seen him hes had a decent game and worked hard
Maguires injured otherwise he would have been on loan at Pompey
But agree , sure that Maguire , Madine , Rodri, Pecnic etc would get more goals than the loansignings if they got chance

Transfer deadline day and DJ's transfer dealings don't fail to amaze me yet again. 2 signings, 2 shockers. This is with MM's blessing too. Is Neil Warthog pulling the strings?

I cant for the life of me understand MM logic in why he is keeping dj at the club and backs him with these 2 poor signings
Im lost for words and was backing dj a few weeks ago on here but now im sure he has lost the players and the chairman and more importantly more fans
You look at the dingles signings this week Greening,Buzacky,Tudgay top notch players for this league i would have been happy with these at s6

Simple answer ....... DJ said we needed a goal poacher , we got a 32yo, 6ft2in striker who hasn't played for two years and is still trying to get fit .
I'll ask you ...... is he going to be sharper than Madine or Rodri or Pecnic or even one of the kid strikers in the Development Squad ?
So the answer to your question .... we expect him to get what we need and surely someone better than we have already otherwise its POINTLESS ...... thats his job !

How do we or DJ know that Madine, Rodri etc can't get the goals we need ? They haven't had a chance to show what they can do and they are our players
Yet he's prepared to give a loan signing who spent most of his career in lower lges and who has only played an hours football in last two years priority over our own lads.
If he couldn't do better than this ... WHY BOTHER ???

I have to say that I have not felt as depressed about the team's prospects as I do now for a very long time. The signing of Sidibe and Helan encapsulates all that is wrong at the moment. Jones said after the Forrest game that "we need a goal scorer, someone to convert the chances we are creating, someone who can put the ball in the net, we need a goal poacher". So he goes and signs towering 6'4" Sidibe who's not played a first team game for two and half years and who's goal scoring record is almost as bad as Bothroyd and far worse than Madine or O'Grady who will be dropped to accommodate him.
He also signs Helan a 20 year old left back who from what I can gather is playing second fiddle to Julian Bennett in the Shrewsbury team. Now this is where I need some help, I tend to feel that I have a bit of intelligence, I can even string more that ten word together without swearing or repeating myself but I can't understand why, if Helan can't get into the team because Bennett is better than him, why doesn't Jones bring Bennett back off loan instead of signing a 20yr old for 28 days just to give a Man City player match time at our expense. It's the Barkley scenario all over again.
As a life long true blue Wednesdayite I will support the team on Saturday against Leicester from the North Stand as I do every home game and have done for many years but the mind boggles at Jones or Aldridge or Mandric's reasoning. Can't see us going forward just down hill.
The only explanation for these signings (IMO) is MM has lost faith in DJ and he is lining things up.
In the meantime he has sanctioned these two loans, in the knowledge that they won't improve the situation at all and will pile even more pressure on DJ, so that when he fires the bullet it will be unanimously accepted by fans.
Great plan MM if true.

The left back Helan is coming to us from Shrewsbury, because Shrewsbury have taken Julian Bennett from us presumably because they feel Bennett can do a better job than Helan ??

Madine has got a far better scoring record than Sidebe. His best season tally is NINE !!!
What the hell is this man doing ??
He will stick Sidebe up front and leave him in team and when he doesn't score tell all the fans we don't know what we talking about ? Heard it before !
How can one man turn things around so badly in such a short time from start of season ?
Anybody sticking up for Jones must be either blind, stupid, or related !
The reason Jones wont play Madine now is because when he does start scoring the goals , the fans would say why didn't you play him all season like we said, and it would then look like they DO know what they talking about after all .

"Towering" striker it says. Presumably that means DJ will persist with just the one up front and then wonder why we don't score goals. I give up !

MM is too quiet , we need new players or new manager.
Nothing will change till we change it.
Unfortunately DJs only tactic seems to be to just wait till it does change. By then it will probably be too late .
We need to win 1in 3 for rest of season to have a chance of staying up.

Other teams around us have strengthen their first team squads this week, it is now the last day of the emergency loan period and we have to do some business before 5.30pm tonight, hope he has got players lined up, but so many times in the past we have seen deals fail at the last moment and if one fails today we won't have time to switch targets. 25,000 fans have know for a long time that we need a striker, not Bothroyd, one goal in 12 games is a very poor return for the only quality player in the squad but what do 25,000 fans know, we are ignorant.
If we don't sign anybody today then MM has made up his mind - IMO.
If he was happy to stick with DJ he would back him to try to improve our position, he cant be happy to be where we are?
If he doesn't back him that suggests to me that DJ has to pull a rabbit out of the hat with what hes already got, or MM will have him out by Xmas so the new man can use the January transfer window?
Forget what's happened before mr doom and gloom the season starts Saturday!
Only one man in charge of doom & gloom - - been doing a grand job since start of season !
