Just been watching CC interviews, I
Know it's early days, but wouldn't it just be superb if he was our very own 'special one' . I am also so pleased for big Atdhe, maybe with the service he might be our goal scorer we all crave? On earlier posts I
Asked for more headers from corners etc, and today we got that, just a thought. Upwards and onwards, UTO

Good post Dodger!
There is no doubt that all the strikers suffered last season from lack of supply. Our wide play was poor , and even the full backs failed to get decisive crosses in - Buxton style.
We now have at least one good wide player in Wallace - another one wouldn't go amiss! And what a difference it's already making.
I too would love to see the " big man " doing the business . He will still no doubt miss a shedful , but if he could get close to 20 , then with his nuisance factor , and good hold up play , he will still be a great asset in the Championship.
I don't know how good we really were today? Were St Mirren downright poor , or were we that good? Perhaps somewhere inbetween would seem to be the answer.
The big test starts next week - can't wait!

Thought the whole squad and style of play was good today.
It will obviously be much better opposition than todays going forward but we've made massive progress in quality department from where we were.
Whether we get in to playoffs or not will obviously only be decided by results but we will be good to watch if we continue to play like that.

Yesterday the hold up play was good and we had 3 in midfield who wanted the ball, Hutchinson, Lopez and Mcguggan all looked comfortable and Wallace got the crosses in. Opposition not great but you still have to beat what is there. Also thought Palmer and Vermijl looked good when they came on.

Sougou, a Senegalese winger playing for Marseilles, reported as having a medical on Monday with a view to a loan deal being concluded.

I think our strike force is complete now and the only places left to strengthen are on the flanks. Unless we spend silly money on transfers and wages there is no chance of us getting a proven striker just yet. We as a team have to now go out and prove our promotion credentials before we can consider getting a big name front man.

Totally agree SWFC13.
Only saw a little of Joao but enough to know he will be a big asset to us, and all of our front men seem to have found another gear.
I think Bus will arrive just in time as well!
Wallace looked good on the right, if we get Sougou from Marseilles on the left I think we will be set up till Xmas, and Mr Chansiri will take stock then.

Well the day approaches and we have a MUCH improved squad on paper but seems we still have some glaring holes depending on what formation we are going play. I've heard we might go with a sort of 3-3-4 but seems we are definatly lacking in depth on the outsides though. Wings, outside mids and outside backs. Still about a month left of transfer window of course but wondering how we're going to line up day one. But I suppose this isn't a video game so parts are a little easier interchanged. What do you guys think?
