I see we are after a striker called Modou Barrow from Ostersunds. But it says they want 1.2 million for him, so that could be dead in the water until any takeover is done.

The season gets ever nearer, and here we are, still in the dark about the takeover and very light on the ground with the usual haul of crocked players unable to be counted on for the season opener! The story on that french wizz kid seems to have gone cold, we have a 29 yr. old awaiting his first full trial, but on paper seems to be even less of a prospect than COG, There's some foreign defender who we know nothing about, but seems to be catching Gray's eye and there's said to be another trialist on the horizon for the final friendly, v Tykes. Where is that 20 goal striker we've been promised? Will we have to wait till the window re-openning in January, when we're back in a relegation scrap? With or without the takeover, we should, as a club, be looking to plug all those gaps left from last season's clearout and be thinking of improving on last season's form. We do now have a solid backbone, but we need a few frills to turn last years relegation scrap into a much healthier season!

A blades fan watches united lose three nil at home to Boston united In the pub league, in absolute despair he nails his season ticket to the gate at the shoreham street end and wearily goes home. His wife meets him and says "come on it's not that bad we can't all be wednesday, go back and get your ticket" He returns to the ground and is gutted, the ticket isn't there. he looks on the floor and there it is. somebody had nicked the nail!!

What is the answer. not Madine. possibly not nuhiu. don't think its McGuire or Lita, not wood nor andy Johnson. the answer is a Delorian time machine. back to the future early nineties and bring back a young David Hirst. keep him off fags and booze. away from the booting bould at arsenal. he is our twenty goal man. if only. if only. then tricky Trevor, waddle, Neilson. "Nurse he is up again time for the medication. ".

I have a mate who watches Charlton, and regularly tells me he cannot understand why we let Michael Morrison go. Same with Wolves fans who have no time for Roger Johnson - I'd certainly welcome him back to SW6!
Facts are, some players need to move on to rejuvenate their careers. So, let's not be too hasty judging our new acquisition from Leeds. Could be a very shrewd move if Stuart G is right - young player with international caps and plenty of experience in the Championship. Afterall, Warnock did mess up big time at Elland road, and it's easy to see how a players confidence could be badly affected under his managership.
I'm happy to trust in SG, and given some of the comments posted by a large section of Leeds fans, this could prove a massive " steal", particularly if he bags a goal against them in another rout.

Ya sleaford owl, I trust sg given the right funding I think he would build a very good side, just wish this take over would get compleated then we can all relax
