Conor Henderson. Free from Arsenal? Seen him play for Republic of Ireland last year. Looks very good. This isn't a rumour but would love to see him down at Wednesday! We're talking about bring and wanting Lita back, which isn't a bad bet but someone else has been released from Swansea. Luke Moore. Showed us last season what he can still do in the PL with a few goals. Ed Upson for a small fee too? I like him a lot! In need of a decent Young CD.

Let us be wise and think deep and not to repeat last season's mistakes by too many, most unproven, signings I would say this: In my humble opinion I think we only need three more high quality proven players, like Helan with great potential for future. One for Centre back (right footed) and two strikers. Here you can spend a bit of money but only on few who can make a difference rather than splashing on too many. With the development squad is strengthening you can feed some talented players as and when required into first team gradually but surely. let us support MM and DJ in that direction to move us forward successfully. I would like to see my Wednesday's fans' views on that please Ed (maybe a new topic for debate). Thanks

I have to agree. And this development squad seems to be getting bigger and stronger at this rate we will have another team a bit like barcalona B.

in reply to top post, I agree with you, the only problem I see is getting the two strikers, anyone who can score 15 to 20 goals a season in the championship is going to cost a lot of money, or there will be multiple clubs after their services, which I think is happening with lita, the other choices are young talent from lower division, foreign players, the likes of which dj is looking at, or the older players like howard

I think you are correct only a few away fom a decent team areas you suggest are sensible. Real key is a goalscorer of some quality would be happy with one striker if they were real deal.
We were short of a right sided defender last year, only Buxton could defend who was right footed on evidence of last years games.
For the record Lee very attacking player defence not a strength.
Other concern is central midfield. I know we have an array of players in central midfield but just get the feeling they are all a little bit short. Having said that word has it that MCCabe and Palmer have made huge steps forward, if so may not need anyone else.

We had no scouting system last year. The first post makes it sound as if we had recruited well in previous seasons. In facty over last 5 yeas we have not recruited well. I thought recruitment overall significantly improved last year. Signings so far including development players look much better.
