MM " why should I give you the job"
Candidate " I will build a team of solid players who will have this club at heart, Any new signing will be taken on the kop and I will make sure they know what it means to play for this club. I will try and rid us of the loan players and short term deals which hardly send out a message to the clubs fans that we are to be taken seriously in this league"
MM sits back in his chair and gary megson pops into his head ( I used to like gary but he wanted the same as this chump. I will not spend money on players for this club I need all the money I have for my erm erm. things )
after a long pause where milan is now thinking about his sunday dinner while the applicant is still trying to give a good pitch for himself
MM " You do realise I will not be buying any players. I am selling the club and owe money pini zahavi ( an iranian del boy) who lent me the cash to get rid of dave jones and barry megson"
Candidate " OK Mr Manderic I don't think i'm the right man at this time to take this club forward "
MM " Whaaat, your the 5th manager this week who has said that to me, where am I going wrong? "
Candidate " well its just that. "
MM " Oh get out, I've got andy gray in temp charge anyway with lee buldon so these two will do "
Absolutely childish. To all megson fans ffs give it a rest. He ain't comin back!
GM crew will never give it a rest.
Me thinks the first poster is not an Owls fan as he manages to get both Stuart Gray and Lee Bullens names wrong :)
I think he was showing that milan is not interested in wednesday hence getting the names wrong
MM is a businessman plain and simple. He doesn't have blue and white filters on his eyes like us. With him its down to profit and loss simple as that. If you think anything else you're deluding yourself. Take the filters off your eyes and ask yourself, for profit, what would I do, then you'll be close to seeing the world as MM does. Trouble is any new owner will almost certainly be out of the same stable. Look at Cardiff, playing in red because that's what the chairman wants: the fans wear blue because historically that's their colour. Hull chairman has applied to change their name, fans don't want it but he's the chairman. The concept of clubs being owned by genuine supporters in the top two leagues is steadily becoming a thing of the past: its business plain and simple, sorry.
MM is a business man first as you say but he is also probably one of the last chairmen at this level who also like football and trys to look after the club as well as getting the profit. The only other ones I can think of are probably David Gold at West Ham or Mike Ashley at Newcastle. That is why I like MM. I'm sure he could have already sold the club a number of times over if he was just looking for a business man with loads of money to burn, but he has taken his time to find the right person who won't screw the club and the fans just to make an extra few pounds in profit
