Kevin Davis would be a good signing for us good positional player and holds the ball well ideal to play alongside a younger striker with a bit of pace

I haven't been on Rumours for a while because it just became a bickering nonsense forum and the rumours were just silly. I've come back to more of the same. SWFC are so tight lipped about their plans (to which I agree) and so everyone just guesses at stuff.

If there are any good rumours I'd love to see them in print on here

Fantastic question posted earlier on here in the week. The question was asked. What's Dave Jones ever achieved as a manager? Only one answer came back defending his managerial record and that was to state that "he'd improved the team". I think the question was meant to ask "what honours as Dave Jones won during his managerial career?" unfortunately the answer is zero. Ok we went up in his first season in charge at Wednesday but let's be honest the team was certain to go up anyway no matter who took over from Mr Megson. Here's another question for you. If Dave Jones has got a reputation for getting the sack from every job that he gets then why did Wednesday employ him? Is it because MM turned to him and said "no doubt you'll fail so when I sack you I want it in your contract that your not paid off? Or is it because we got him for no money because he wasn't employed by a club as he'd yet again been sacked by his last chairman? I know this all sound very negative but it's also all very true.

Diabolical trash, the reason only one person commented was the comment was so bad it was not worthy of response. He did extremely well with team when he came and to say others would have done as well is a silly comment.
He is our manager get behind him, it is not his fault he followed your beloved GM. Oh ask yourself why GM has not got a job yet?

Oh God ere we go again. Ffs let it drop. He's our manager now an to be honest altho I'm not his biggest fan we would av settled for last seasons points total pre season. In the past how many teams Av struggled wiv 50 odd points. It was a freak season
Live wiv it an move on

Why is it relevant as a WEDNESDAY
manager at this time what honours
or trophies the manager has won?
We have had loads of debt! recently come from lge One so we need an experienced manager to manoeuvre up the championship in next couple of years whilst Milan finds a suitable buyer! Then push on for the premier league! If Chelsea had appointed a manager who as not won any honours after their recent years of success then that would be unsuitable for them! When we are top six prem we can talk about managers who have won trophies for sure! Jones spent 6 years at Cardiff! Unless you are Wenger in the end managers lose jobs!
McCarthy is rated he as been sacked so as Coyle and o'driscoll who are all admired!

So you answered you own question, promotion and kept us in the championship.
halfwit.

The majority of managers have never achieved anything. Apart from 1 or 2 managers are like journeymen players they move around to ever will employ them. Some have higher principles and will only join clubs with potential, others will take anything I think DJ is one with higher principles working with a club with high potential but working under a lot of constraints a lot that we do not understand.

I just wonder what people think is to be gained by this constant moaning about dave jones, nothing as far as I can see, squad wise we are much better than before he took over, yes some mistakes were made, but name any manager that has not made some.

Ed I gave an honest and fair answer to above post earler
nothin nasty, just my opinion. I didn't in anyway insult the poster. However you haven't published it which to me means you agree with the above post an no-one else can have an opinion. let's play fair here! {Ed001's Note - actually, if it never got posted, it was because it never came through. I can guarantee I don't agree with the original post and think it is completely idiotic. There are very few managers who get lucky enough to win trophies, Dario Gradi is probably the best coach in English football, but he has won nothing. Oh and I keep out of the Jones' arguments because I know the man as a person, and I like him, as a person. So I find it difficult to discuss it without bias.}

Thanx ed. actually my post has now finally got thru so I apologise
