We are playing in a harder league, a much harder league. Some of the signings are questionable but we have to stay realistic.. Would we have got promoted with Megson in charge? Probably but not in the same way.. We need to give it time and our best shot.. If that ends up being relegation or fourth from bottom then that's our bag.. Lets not pretend to be any better than we are. Just saying..

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Nobody is pretending to be better than we are --- we really are crap at the moment.
Realistic - is we could do a lot better and stay in this league.
Give it time - - we only got till end of season! - or less if we dont get some points on board soon !
But its all down to the decisions and indecisions of Dave Jones - thats the point.
He is decisive in keeping Bothcrap in the team yet Llera, COG, Madine , and other blood-sweat-n-triers to name a few, put one foot out of place and they not seen for weeks !
We been conceding goals for fun all season and hes still not sure what his best defence is or even how to set one up.
The learning curve that we're on must curve all around the globe cos thats his only excuse !
Oh and the referees of course , cos we're the only team in the lge that get decisions given against them ?
Some fans might be content to keep stum and give him time, but there are a lot like me who see whats ahead and would like MM to be as decisive as he was last year. This time round he would be doing whats best for our club.

What's your plan then? My first plan would be a decent assistant who can show some leadership around Jones and get the plonker to see some of the stupid decisions he makes, a proper 4-4-2 and stop relying on children in midfield. Bothroyd could be the best player in the league but unfortunately Hillsborough has the ability to suck the life, skill and endeavour out of players. What has to be recognised is we are all Wednesday, we all invest hundreds of pounds every year in to the club to see results and we are all entitled to a different slant to what happens day to day in and around the club. Your passion is the same as mine just coming fromma slightly different angle.

Agree6 Disagree1

I agree, I'm sure we see eye to eye on most things as real fans do. I am just stunned by DJs apparent inability to affect whats happening on the pitch. I always had him down as a good manager and apart from the circumstances that Megson lost his job, was pleased to see him at the helm. But right from the start of the season, I've grown more & more disillusioned.
I def think youre right suggesting a new assistant, the slide started when Burton left and I'm sure he would have been the voice of reason for DJ which Wilkinson will be reluctant to be because of his relative inexperience.
You asked me the question.
Fact, its not easy in football to set up a team to win a match unless you have the edge in quality.
But it is a lot easier to set up a team not to lose a match, thats why there are many cup upsets every year.
When we're on the run we've been on, a couple of 0-0s on the bounce would do wonders for all concerned, and if you pinch a goal? I think that should be the focus of the whole of the management team, but DJ seems to have a different focus and few of the fans can see what it is.
They also see his persistence and loyalty to his signed/loan players, whilst if any of the old guard make a mistake they are publicly criticised.
He should be seen to be fair to all or risk alienating the fans which is whats increasingly happening.
But more than anything he needs to show a bit of enthusiasm and passion for the job because that rubs off on everybody , inspires the players , and is the very least that the fans expect.

next game dropp kirkland put bywater in and put ogrady and madine up front with mguire behind dropping loans like bothroyd and barkley, we need to look after our own players first! owls about this? xxxx

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Maguires been injured for about two week n if you think DJ is gonna drop Bothroyd now youre mistaken. In any case he only drops players that he hasnt signed cos all the players that DJ has signed are brilliant - try and keep up

Agree2 Disagree1

Seeing as Madine scored, I'd stick with him.

Agree2 Disagree0

No chance of Bothroyd getting dropped son of jones henceforth known as SOJ

Agree0 Disagree1

Bywater injured anyway, Maguire injured as well, otherwise would possibly give Maguire a chance. But Barkley can either be class or average so might as well keep him in the side

Agree2 Disagree0

My mate read something the other day that said in bothroyds contract it says he must play if he is fit so that must be y he starts games even when he is doing rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes and explains why he never moves or tackles or kicks a ball ..... so he cant get injured ?

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree thats y I was hoping he would get himself sent off when he was argueing with ref last friday then we would see what a difference it would have made without him

Peterborough United have confirmed that they have transfer-listed four of their first-team squad,

lets sign Emile Sinclair xxx

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Wouldn't you like to know what they done wrong first ? Must be really serious for Posh to cancel their contracts and lose a lot of money!

Agree2 Disagree0

Great idea lets just sign him - even if he might be doing time by xmas

dont we look silly lol leon clarke scoring 10 goals so far, we need him and tudgay back lol xxxx

Believable2 Unbelievable3

DJ would have probably played him as wicket keeper anyway.

Agree1 Disagree0

He would only send em out on loan anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Leon Clarke?. we'd lose a load of revenue, cos we'd have to hide all the advertising boards

forest at weekend, dont worry about this one we will win easy 3-1.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

And your basing that prediction on what .... recent form ??

Agree5 Disagree3

If only it was that simple just say it and it will happen, I'd love to see it but forest are not a bad team and our recent form says we will struggle. Wake up DJ give us what we need some wins under our belt dont care how you do it just do it we deserve better than what we are getting at the moment. We need to look at what we have and play our strongest team not certain peoples favourites, get us out of this mess and if you cant do it get someone who can UTO eric the owl

Just a quick thanks to SWFC for loaning us Mark Beavers. Before he came along our defence was shambolic and we were so easy to score against. Now we look tight and Beavers as been outstanding, a real fans favorite. Were now 4 points off the play offs and hopefully SWFC will let us keep Beavers until the end of the season. Thanks again.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Hope not

That's ok mate, just let us beat you next time we play and we will call it evens.
