Still need another goalkeeper any ideas anyone?

Goalkeeper not a priority as we have some decent youngsters as backup already. If there is any spare cash in the kitty after the outfield players have been bought then we might get someone in but to be honest I don't expect us to be signing a keeper this window. If anything does happen it will be a loan signing and not a permenant one, DJ wants to give first team games to the younger lads to get them experience.

Well because we got chris Kirkland, Aron Jameson and Adam Davies I don't think we need a new goalkeeper. UTO

Have faith in our young goalkeepers they are good.

Madine has the potential to become a good championship forward he just needs time on the pitch, he's shown that he's not a bad player at championship level and I'm sure within another season or so he will become a proven forward.

Well I'm excited! Helan has no control, strength and cannot cross a ball. Coupled with a nobody from Burton Albion demonstrates a lack of ambition and a relegation battle. Anybody who talks about the play offs is delusional. Don't worry I will not post again as I have gathered this page is for positive people who either do not go to the games or know nothing about football.

You are the one who has no knowledge of football to even post tripe like this. Just look how many chased their signatiures.
Have you noticed very few have complained about signings we made and majority have been positive I suppose they know nothing about football and you are the expert.

Good riddance. I just don't understand how you can not see that we are improving year on year. We don't have millions to spend so we can't buy top class, it's that simple.

You should be excited these are 2 quality signings, helan is quality - young but quality. So far DJ seems to have got things right. Helen just signed, it's on the city website, delighted, we look strong on the wings now, a couple of proper forwards now and we'll be looking good, fingers crossed :)

Have to endorse above comments, also need to praise DJ and scouting system which you can see is feeding in better players - Maghome, Halen, Floro, Nortey
Think DJ delights in answering questions on has beens which are put to him. We made no real attempt for Davies, just polite enquiry.

Could still do with one good midfielder as well

I don't particularly like Jones but am prepared to accept that he may be a builder of clubs after all. Been thinkin. look at Cardiff an look at Southampton. How much influence did he have in putting them where they are? I heard somewhere that the man u set up that produced Beckham etc was started by Atkinson ten years earlier. How much influence did Jones have on the system that Southampton have to bring thru bale ox Walcott etc? I don't know, can anyone check? Be nice to think he builds us. Your thoughts?

Jones has had a hell of a lot with both clubs youth set ups and they have done remarkably well and are still producing players. He also helped mould Wolves set up and they too have produced some decent players.
The point you make about Atkinson was raised by Ed, it is true he did an excellent job at that level and his good work was continued by Fergusson. Other clubs who chose to build Academies and reap the benefit are Leeds (Wilkinson) which has resulted in them producing steady stream of players.
Problem with Jones is he tells it how it is and does not suffer fools gladly. I think his comments are usually sensible and accurate.
The band of supporters who loved Megson also have it in their heads that he helped oust him and they have been mainly responsible for the slagging off and emphasis on negative. Think they were the ones who also thought they could run the club and helped take us to the brink of going bust. If they keep doing this it does so seeds of doubt in peoples minds especially if bad run of form. In the circumstances think he has done well particularly in turn round of fortunes last year.

Yes most decent folks could describe them this way. A gang of no hopers with time on their hands skue the views of supporters on all Wednesday forums. They are usually ill mannered and use foul language too. If you have a go back at them they cry foul and make more unfounded ill thought out allegations.
Just wondering where our user of capital letters has gone! We have made 2 signings and personally no complaints with both. Both at good ages and are pacey, left side looking particularly strong.
Also think they have signed Nortey he was named in Telegraph team and which indicated we had 3 other trialists on display. This tallies with report on Wednesday site which said we had 3 trialists playing hence think he is now Wednesday player. He looked very lively and quite an athlete. With him and Floro of whom I have heard good reports we have useful additions to development squad and a step up on those signed last year.
Feeling happy and content.
