God, this mid-table medioricty is boring. No doom and gloom posts about being relagated or new signings being required. And now with the takeover rumours being put to bed again for a few weeks there's nothing to talk about at all!
1.) Perhaps we are not speaking too soon
2.) Lets hope not. But nobodies speaking at all at the moment, that's my point. We need some more posts to consider and discuss.

Fellow owls, don't be disappointed we haven't made loads of signings. We've been on a great run with the players we have so why are we desperate to change? Likely we would only get loans in anyway and this is still possible in the loan window. Have some faith and confidence in SG.

Out of interest I've just had a quick look on the Notts Forest site following the numerous posts from our friend Cooperred. Loads of posts regarding the signing of various strikers, interestingly not one of them mentions Wickham or Fryatt. Even more interestingly lots of doom and gloom on there as Jack hobbs been recalled by Hull and this after forest chairman gone on record saying he's done a deal to keep him for the season.
I suggest therefore we just ignore our new friend and hopefully the men in white coats will catch up with him and take him back.

For gods sake will the megson fan club give it a rest please. Yes he turned us around and had us in a play off position but it seems he gets better and better the longer he's not here. However auto promotion did not look guaranteed and dj got a far better tune out of the team, just look at the run he took us on and we still only secured promotion on the last day of the season. I too was disappointed when he was sacked and thought it very harsh but it happened and mm is not going yo re-employ him. So please let it go and give your support to whoever is hired. We can't move forward by looking backwards.

Some interesting points above. Swfc I agree with everything except your comment about Antonio which was clearly written before he scored another 2 goals and crossed in for their third! However still think it was good business for us at that price. Oh and Strad, please get over megson and move on. We have season on season since his departure although I agree at the time it was harsh to sack him. Wawaw and were winning 3-0 at boro. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
To the original poster, takeovers do not happen in just a matter of days, it's just that official news only gets released a couple of days before they complete. Multi million pound deals will be tied up in confidentiality and exclusivity clauses so that they do not become part of public debate.

Well said, the Weeds situation is another wake up call for financial prudence in football but sadly it will be ignored by many and I'm sure further clubs will fall into a similar state. Also a reminder to our fans that just throwing money at our club is not a long term solution. If the people putting the money up want it repaying then the emounts invested need to be manageable.
