Nuhiu signed 2nhalf year extension.

09 Jan 2016 21:40:05
Hunt turning his loan into a perminant deal owls are understood to have agreed terms with palace. Great news UTO.

Lomas613

1.) 10 Jan 2016 10:36:09
Hope this is true but would be even more impressed if we signed Pudil on a permanent basis. Best LB we've had for years.

2.) 10 Jan 2016 11:36:44
Well so far out of temporary signings bannan and hunt signing new ones. Soooo I'm sure whoever is staying will be tied down this month or by end of season we will know cause we showing our intent on who we want to keep already. I'll put my money on pudil being next confirmed.
UTO!

3.) 11 Jan 2016 16:56:10
I hope so Lomas, Pudil would be worth signing on a permanent basis.
One benefit of tying these players down is that it creates more places for any other loan players we might want to take on and have a look at.

4.) 11 Jan 2016 17:53:22
Yep I agree mate at beginning of he season I was sceptical regarding loans I always thought if they do well they will be hard to sign my example at time was Neil mellor but after seeing Wednesday's money and intent I feel he loans have been a smart move on owls behalf. It makes a change to offer serious money. I didn't expect this at first but wow I was wrong. Finally good loanees can be snapped up woooo UTO.

04 Jan 2016 21:56:57
Had a bid rejected for Alan judge not met brentfords valuation for him in sure next bid will meet it haha.

Lomas613

1.) 05 Jan 2016 00:19:32
According to one report from Brentford supporting paper, Beespotted, our offer was seen as derisory being around £1 million whereas their valuation is a rather steep £6 million. It is reported that Wednesday were offering to triple his wages. Burnley are also thought to be interested in signing Judge.

2.) 05 Jan 2016 08:07:22
Why another midfielder though what's happening now lol unless we not warning Lopez perminant or someone on way out very strange to see a midfielder on our wish list.

3.) 05 Jan 2016 08:54:16
I agree Lomas. I wonder if this either pertains to Lopez, as you suggest, or whether it indicates McGugan is likely to move on.

4.) 05 Jan 2016 09:33:43
Thing is CC has said himself he pushed mcgugan to come but then not playing him we all know the quality he brings it would be a shame for him to leave I'd hate him playing against us too. I'd have him over Lopez hands down. Plus with him only signing this year I it would be tricky to sell so I'm starting to think have Wednesday now got more money than sense lol.

5.) 05 Jan 2016 23:52:01
im sure Alan Judge is a Goal Scoring Winger and Lopez is a holding Midfielder and we've only got 3 Wingers 4 if you include Helan.

6.) 06 Jan 2016 01:21:11
Would definitely take Judge, that would be a great signing.
Lopez and McGugan are both central, as is Bannan who has generally been playing out wide, now Foristieri is playing there, so I personally believe that we need a winger or 2.
Either way, what an admirable improvement this season.

7.) 06 Jan 2016 10:33:32
Oh right never new that I suppose your right but then again we've got sougou and Wallace seem to play on left with Helan and forestieri on left so unless he's gunna put forestieri back up front with judge filing spare left spot that would more than likely be it as long as mcgugan isn't shown door I don't care haha.

09 Jul 2015 21:10:58
Signed Lewis price free transfer back up goalkeeper. Nothing flattering but nice to see we sticking with Westwood between sticks

Lomas613

1.) 09 Jul 2015 22:31:23
Bit of a drop from what we got last night, keeper that was at Crawley last season, not impressed at all, but oh well still exciting times

03 Jul 2015 21:27:02
Hunt loaned in why are we sticking to loans hmmmm hope things start to change if they turn out a success we will loose them next year. I hate Loan players

Lomas613

1.) 03 Jul 2015 22:49:58
Great deal imo. that's only the 2nd Loan deal I don't see the issue really.

2.) 04 Jul 2015 01:47:19
Season long loans are totally different to short term loans IMO and a great way to see if a player does the job you want him to do before committing to having him on the books for 2-3 yrs or more.
Its what you would want to do if it were your money - try before you buy?

3.) 04 Jul 2015 01:50:53
That and he got the 'massive' quote out for his first interview, as is tradition. Like him already.

4.) 04 Jul 2015 07:25:08
I suppose your right I just get nervy with loan signings can't wait for some big perminant names :D their probably just building a bigger squad with a couple of loans seeing as though we lacking players. Wish I thought before writing on first place lol

5.) 04 Jul 2015 14:50:57
Don't mind loans too much, they don't take up much cash. I think one thing a lot of people are forgetting is that we have a finite amount of money to spend due to fair play rules, even with Chansiri being able to add extra money through sponsorship it is not a bottomless pit. By getting the backup players we needed for the defence fairly cheaply we have saved the majority of the money for the midfield and attacking players we need.

6.) 05 Jul 2015 08:18:58
The problem with loan players is that if they do really well, then you are not guaranteed to get them as their value increases and the price is bumped up (as with Antonio)or other clubs come in and bid for them. I suppose the way to go is to agree a price pending a permanent transfer.

7.) 05 Jul 2015 08:45:15
That's basically the reason I hate loans lol look when Neil mellor did so well for us then Preston relegated we couldn't buy him. We missed the 20 goals. I did jump in too quick when writing at first I now have realised as what others are saying we probably loaning a few to get some depth then spending money on decent perminant. Well we hope haha. Good times coming I recon I've just posted above away short released on Monday I'll put my house as a bet that we get a big name player wearing it as a nice little surprise. I've heard the name Rhodes about again (I doubt this) but it could be a half decent signal of intent wearing our away strip.

Got a new crest for next season not sure what to think of it.

Lomas613

1.) 25 Jan 2016 08:52:40
I like the current crest more now it's in a shield with the date on, but as I'm quite old I do like the tradition of the older crest, not 100% convinced that the new one is going to be a hit tho? I think the blue could have been darker / stronger.

Relations and friends around the 30's mark definitely prefer the current crest.

We'll see I guess; depending how successful we are the more it'll grow on folk.

I hope it gets world wide renown! lol.

2.) 25 Jan 2016 09:19:10
Yep start of a new era I keep looking at it and it's growing on me think it's hard for me cause all I've known is current crest.

3.) 25 Jan 2016 13:16:56
I liked the simplicity of the current crest but this new one is good too, I like the retro feel of it. Will be interesting to see how it looks on the shirts next year.

4.) 25 Jan 2016 19:55:17
Oldskool.

21 Jan 2016 11:57:27
Right so Middlesbrough have now made a bid for McCormack which we had 10mil rejected for. So on that is it higher than 10mil. If so they surely cannot afford both him and Rhodes that's if they where the 2nd club in for him. And does this mean Wednesday's bid for Rhodes is accepted so middlesborough looking elsewhere. Or was it again the Rhodes saga as LMN suggested on earlier posts. And it hasn't and never was gunna happen?

Lomas613

1.) 21 Jan 2016 19:47:15
Hey, if I am wrong about 'the saga' I would be happy to eat my words.
If it was purely a repeated rumour, as predicted, I will be just as happy because I don't think we need him.
Foristieri has already scored as many goals this season and isn't even a striker.

2.) 21 Jan 2016 21:16:49
Just seen they've offered 8mil plus kike for McCormack also 6mil for Phillips from QPR so rule them out of Rhodes.

3.) 21 Jan 2016 22:26:48
Sorry LMN I wasn't meaning to offend I was meaning in a way I'm beginning to agree with you lol sorry matey just saying that you could have been right all along mate. Still hopin your wrong though haha. UTO.

4.) 22 Jan 2016 00:48:58
Didn't even slightly offend pal.
Same sheet man.

5.) 22 Jan 2016 00:56:11
Not sure about offering a kike though, is that not anti Semitic?
Hahaha, only joking pal.

19 Jan 2016 08:11:01
Someone help me why are we looking to loan joe bennett from villa he's a LB what's happening to pudil thought we was chasing perminant deal for him. Potentially wouldn't that mean we have pudil Wiggins and Bennett all LB help me out someone if I'm wrong somewhere lol.

Lomas613

1.) 19 Jan 2016 17:55:18
Maybe they are just looking at age. Pudil is 30 and not getting any younger and Bennett is 25. And with only Hunt and Palmer at right back gives them a little more depth. And Wiggins may be a little injury prone so just insurance for the playoff push. They'll have options to keep guys fresh later on. Just a guess though.

2.) 19 Jan 2016 20:17:37
Makes sense I suppose need pudil can give experience. I've also heard Wiggins may be leaving? But don't believe till I see lol.

3.) 19 Jan 2016 23:38:16
Yeah I saw that rumor also but who knows about that til it happens. But with pudil and Bennett on loan could be open try outs for next season lol I'm still hoping for Yedlin LOL that's the player I want.

17 Jan 2016 15:27:58
How has Southampton only spent 4mil on Austin wasn't there a 10mil+ bid rejected in summer. I know it nothing to do with owls but can someone help me understand it lol.

Lomas613

1.) 18 Jan 2016 20:29:19
Yeah lomas I had to look twice when it came on sky I'm almost certain last transfer window they were offering millions for him. Now the Rhodes rumour is£12 million for him crazy!!

2.) 18 Jan 2016 20:48:04
I couldn't and still can't believe it yes he injured as of late but wow what a bargain we could have had him for that price haha wonder if his wages had something to do with it? And I wonder if there's a sell on clause where QPR get a nice packet if he sold or more after so many appearances that they haven't disclosed? Either way wow 4mil well done to them lol.

3.) 18 Jan 2016 20:58:40
Omg didn't really look at your 12mil comment regarding Rhodes but according to tv Blackburn have approached Tottenham over loaning a striker forgot his name which is casting uncertainty on Rhodes with 2 championship clubs approaching them and one is believed to be US! And Blackburn wanting 12mil+ so your right there matey. that's is the furthest I've ever heard a rumour so close to being true regarding Rhodes. So who knows. Hope we sign hooper still though.

4.) 20 Jan 2016 08:00:12
Southampton got Austin for only 4M as his contract is up this summer and QPR took what they could get rather than loose him for a free. They could ask for more in the summer as there was a chance if they had a good start he would have signed a new contract with them but they have started badly so they took what they could get. As for the Rhodes/ Hooper thing, I think that we may have enquired about Rhodes more as a summer deal rather than now, Hooper is looking odds on to sign for us before the end of this window.

Hunt has already been signed perminant back in January. Fingers crossed pudil will sign be nice to keep him build around the solid squad from last season. Keep Wallace for experience but sign both LM and RM so bannan can stay centre new LM fighting foristieri or matias so we can put foristieri CF The new RM I wouldn't keep sougou in al honesty so a younger RM to learn from Wallace. Nuhiu got a new 3 year contract so he'll be an asset still creating space for fessi and hooper I recon we need a fast striker too play some through balls from space created hooper lacked pace against hull while they had Diame ripping us apart. So definitely a Pacey striker. Joao needs some nurturing maybe a loan out? New CB and another sting CM all TALL players too we abit on the short front in midfield. Another reason hull was stronger I recon.

Thing about this above comment as soon as someone can reflect and chose things like this they don't remember a player for the season what he does for team they remember any mistakes casting more doubt on the player. I for one believe Wallace would more than manage in the premiership as would most of our players. At one but Joao was attracting apparent interest from Everton but his for drops and no longer. A player can't just have it one min and lose it the next you have to see them as a whole. Wallace brings promotion experience calm head etc to the team so his valuable advice is more than enough to keep him in your squad regardless of what division. this team is he best team I've seen for a long time I don't believe any player deserves any criticism because they've all been ace and to me they can hack it. For 10 min here and there for bench warming for their experiences for their callings influences I could go on but this collective team all plays their part which a team like this would be vital in premiership. UTO.

Get rid of him every cross he sent in at weekend cleared full width of box landing other side no where near any of our players. He can't cross but his footwork are good but Jeees work rate isn't much either.

Everyone has that belief in the squad now that we can comeback and win those games 4-5 that's the quality the team has shown all season and it's a breath of fresh air to have that belief in them. But personally I believe that result could be a blessing in disguise wake us up shake us up to get together and start performing again take some form into the playoffs. If we didn't lose that game we could have got comfortable and lost an important game. Get ready now we will be ok cannot wait for playoffs. UTO!
