Maybe a take over is on going and that's why he's been appointed head coach and not manager. Any new owner may have said to do that so they can bring in their own man as director of football and some directors of football have lots of authorities and could over rule Gray in many things such as transfers, squad selection etc. Just a thought.
Its all rubbish unfortunately mate. I've seen this rumour elsewhere and did some looking. I found a previous rumour along the same lines from back in 2007. Also the only place this new rumour stems from is a twiiter feed. Even the Canadians haven't heard anything over there and it was suppose to have been on TV.
Wish it was true but I very much doubt it.
Would love Wickham to be signed on a permanent basis but can't see this happening, ever. When was the last time we paid good money for anyone? Think record transfer fee paid was for Di Canio. That's says a lot.
To be fair it isn't Gray's fault, he put out a strong enough team. Its now down to Manderic to invest and provide cash for good players not just cheap players and loanees. We need to have a cash injection and try and make Wickham permanent. I know one player doesn't make a team but look at how we play with Wickham in the team.
