Will you make it up through the play offs?

If you do, will it give you enough time to build a side to survive in the Prem?

1.) 10 May 2017 22:38:17
I'm personally more confident now, with these three matches yet to play, then I was on the way to Wembley to face Hull last year.
Your point about - having time to build to survive - as you know is always a problem for sides who get up through the playoffs and I'm sure it will pose us some problems too.
But we do have a large squad and a determined and generous Chairman who will have been making sure that somebody was working on the necessary ins and outs to make us more Prem-fit, whether its this time round or next.

Is automatic promotion a realistic aim for the season?

1.) 23 Dec 2015 13:34:47
It's a realistic possability definitely but I think one that should wait for next season. I don't think our squad is anywhere near good enough for the premiership just yet and if we did go up this season then the amount of change to the playing personnel that would be required to be competative in the Premiership would ruin team spirit. I wouldn't complain in the slightest if we did go up this year but I think it would be better to wait another season and build on this current squad. A good finish this year will help us to attract the better players we would need to first win this league and then second stay in the premiership.

I tend to agree.
Although it is a slim possibility, I don't think we are quite ready yet.

Joao gets player of the month award, deserved or not? He looks decent from what I have seen, but not really outstanding. Mind I am not sure anyone in the Championship really has been outstanding this season so far.

His form, goals and call up to the Portuguese national team speaks volumes.

With the reports of Prem clubs interested in Tom Lees, would you sell him? If so, what would be the minimum you would accept?

1.) 13 Nov 2015 08:07:22
As I said in my other post I think this is just paper talk not serious links to the player. I wouldn't sell as we need all our good players for the push for the premiership but any bid above £7-8M would be hard to ignore. The one big thing in our favour is that we have money behind us now so we don't desparately need to sell so can push away most bids.

{Ed001's Note - I was not trying to suggest it was going to happen, just thought it would be interesting to see how highly valued he is. Especially considering how he was allowed to join you on a free in the first place.}

I know what you meant sorry if I came across the wrong way. As I said I think he is highly valued by the club, or at least I hope he is. He has matured quickly and made himself one of the first names on the teamsheet. I can't believe that Leeds let him go for a free as even at Leeds I rated him as a player he just was never given an extended chance in the first team, I hope they don't have a sell on clause if he is sold.

{Ed001's Note - they will get 5% of any fee anyway, or a cut of it at least, as he came through their academy.}

3.) 18 Nov 2015 11:52:18
Lees has been fantastic for us since joining and could be sold for a profit but that would be false economy considering our current potential.
Having said that, if a player does wants to leave, let them, as it would only be detrimental to our team.
The chances of the lad getting regular first team football at a premiership club are minimal.
I'd like to think that he would commit himself to the cause, as Westwood did pre season.
UTMFO.
