English FB is in dire need of a salary cap cause man its getting out of control. I read a pretty good article the other day about how most teams don't make a profit because of the salarys being so ridiculous. Think it said maybe 20% make a profit that's crazy. How is anyone supposed to compete with a team like Chelsea that has a market value of 566M I mean isn't that just a little excessive. Its really discouraging.

I can agree with the sentiment but practicality wise it will never happen. The loss of players to other leagues paying more will be huge and cause a big loss of revenue to the clubs and SKY. Sky's money with by sport this year just turned it up a further notch I think.

A salary cap may however boost the English team as there may be a greater reliance on home grown talent that's brought through the ranks and paid less.

Things work in cycles and it will turn in the future as other leagues try to compete. Might be a better England team then?.

I'm not sure about foreigners, salary's etc that cause English talent problems. Look at Milner, Sinclair and Adam Johnson - all took massive paydays to never play. While we have English players wanting to sit on the bench we won't get any better.

That and the insane pressure on managers for instant results. Any manager that tries to 'blood' some youngsters and loses is torn apart. Same problem as above, You get better by playing.

And don't get me started on the england u21's. You get better by playing, not going on holiday and whinging, moaning, forcing a transfer through and refusing the pre-season tour.

I feel ya and it's not like English football is the only offenders American football, basketball, and baseball players make too much too I see all the sides the leagues make way too much money not to pay the players but who suffers in the end? The fans the loyal fans that want to go and experience the game that can't afford or don't want to spend the rediculous money to go see the game. But it is what it is.
