We are linked with Jelle Vossen, 26yo Belgian international striker who was on loan at Middsbro last season.
Looking for permanent deal around £2m?

Yes but who is selecting these players when there is no Manager, whos plans are they going to fit in to.
If I was being considered for Managers position I would want some say in who comes in and who goes.

Work rate was spot on at boro think he got 9 goals not prolific but a good team player.

Is he likely to be a 20 goals a season man

I think he looked good. Difficult first season adapting maybe?

Would welcome the addition, but said it before one of the strikers needs to be an out and out finisher, don't care about work rate.

So he scored one more goal than Nuhiu then, hardly worth an extra 2 million!

Anyway, Middlesbrough have first option on him so we'll only get him if Karanka decides he doesn't want him.

Don't know about others, but sorry I don't see £2m+ of goalscoring ability there.
A lot of the goals were a result of bad defensive or keeper errors.
Have a look at Stevie Mays goals from the season before he joined us, he looks twice the player.
No better than Caolan Lavery for me, in fact not as mobile as Caolan.

He's crap and will no doubt prove t be exactly that if we sign him. Let's get real here if we're going to be in the premier league within 2 years we need a better manager than the ones we're being linked with and better players that are being named as future signings. This could all end up being a typical season of mid table nothingness.

We need to forget about managers, we are looking for a continental style head coach, also under this system the club sign players, the coach. coaches them, so no reason for transfer activity without a coach.

Starman - under the continental system (when it's working properly! ) you don't need a coach/manager to sign players. As you say the "club" sign who they want and the coach turns them in to a team.
The problem I believe we have is that our owner is still getting up to speed, the man who was going to run the business side for him while he got up to speed is at Leeds, the coach has understandably walked out , leaving Mr Roeder who has not been terribly successful at anything in football making recommendations on absolutely everything I'm guessing.
Also I would be extremely surprised if Stuart Gray didn't tell Mr Chansiri exactly what he thought of Roeder before he walked out?
So I hope that is giving him reason to question some of Roeders recommendations at last, hence the delays perhaps?

That is probably the best piece I have read on here.
