CAVALHAL to be confirmed with press conference set for Monday followed by 3 signings and expect quality signings not mediocre.
Ps those who doubt join the Same what doubted me when I was the first to post about the Grey appointment 18 months ago.

I'm starting to suspect Mr Chansiri is a Blade!

Signings will have to be amazing to justify replacing SG with an 'unknown'.

Is someone playing a cruel joke on us Wednesday fans I'm not stuck in a time lapse repeating April fools am I. What on earth is going on sacking a loved manager throughout from team to fans players playing and wanting to succeed for him to now possibly signing someone whos record doesn't look to promising. 14 clubs 14 years or something. How is this a step forward and we have no idea who he is how is he going to attract big/better players (prem quality) when the players don't know him. Someone is having a laugh somewhere but us owls fans are not amused. Hmmmmm starting to fear no progress next year of this is what all our excitement has been given yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. UTO

Just remember no-one had heard of Slavisa Jokanovic before he joined Watford and look where they are now! Just because he is unheard of doesn't mean he will fail. The element of surprise is always the best.

All we need to do as owls fans is support the team as we always do.

Agree with the sentiment totally and our fans will do what they always do , get behind the team.
But Jokanovic did win 3titles in two different countries in his first 3 full seasons as a manager, so he had real and obvious pedigree!
Whereas Carvalhal has only had some limited successes in lower league football and not managed anywhere in last 3years or more, so much more of a risk I would say?
But that's not to say he can't succeed , let's hope for our sakes he does.
Unless its all a big smokescreen and its somebody else who's never been mentioned yet?

If Caravalhal is to be unveiled as new manager, will he be able to bring in the so called big signings, or will they be Roeders doings, let's hope that its not another Dave Jones fiasco and that the club can move forward and upwards

I'm hoping this is a very clever smokescreen by the club. Yes Jokanovic was an unknown to english football but he had had some success in Europe. This guy Caravalhal has no success and would be an incredibly huge gamble which doesn't seem like the kind of thing Chansiri does.

Caravalhal looks like bringing The Boys From Portugal, pity not the Boys From Brazil.

ED is Harry redknapp retired? If not I'm surprised his name hasn't come up.

{Ed001's Note - no he has not retired.}

If Sheffield was less than 10 miles from Poole in Dorset Harry might have been little more than half interested.
But we're not so he won't be!

If Cavalhal is, as we expect, the next manager, then surely it will be the result of Chansiri's taking advice. However you look at it, it is a bizarre decision and deeply unsafe. Only a committee could produce such a choice. Take another look at your committee Mr.Chansiri.

Sorry to see the disposal of Gray, but at the same time it's a new era and I can understand the need to start a fresh.
Make or break.
